Welcome to
the YMCA Camp Winona employment page.
Our camp is a community where we strive to positively
impact the lives of all the children that we come into contact
with. We do this using the core values that the Y promotes: Honesty,
Respect, Responsibilty and Caring. We also promote the values
of the "C" in the YMCA -- "Christian". It
doesn't mean that we preach but it does mean that we are going
to live those values.
If you're willing to take the challenge, I invite
you to apply. Download the forms (in Word or PDF format), print
them out, fill them out and mail them to me. If you haven't been
at summer camp before, you'll find that a summer at Winona is
life changing.
A note to parents and potential staff
Potential staff go through a rigorous screening
process before becoming a staff person. After receiving an application,
the references are checked, along with past employers. The applicant
then goes through an interview that helps determine and define
the true nature of their goals for the summer -- why they're coming
to work at camp. If the applicant 'matches' YMCA Camp Winona,
they are then screened through local, state and federal law enforcement
agencies through fingerprinting and other methods. This helps
to guarantee the highest quality staff for our camp.. |
