Since 1919 YMCA Camp Winona
has inpacted the lives of thousands of children with a hands-on,
stimulating part of learning about oneself, nature, and being
part of a larger commuinity. We continually strive to provide
each camper, ages 6-16, with expereinces that instill the YMCA
four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Resident camping is one of the most formative
experiences in a young person's life. Our staff are committed
to an envoronment that supports youth with essential assets that
help them develp into healthy and responsible adults. Our goal
is to help each camper:
- Be responsible for themselves and their actions
- Increase his or her level of self-confidence
- Try new options and interests
- Respect the differences in God's people
and be able to live in a diverse community
- Have a caring attitude toward others
- Have a caring attitude toward the environment
